Artist Statement:
Home can be a place… a person… or even just a feeling…
Home is where one finds comfort… solace… peace…
Home is where one can recharge and ground themselves in love…
Home… to me… is a state of mind. I believe that we are given many homes in our lifetime and throughout our life cycles… but perspective is what brings us “Home”.
Purgatory, as an adjective, means ” having the quality of cleansing or purifying”. I believe that as we go through our many life cycles, the goal is to become cleansed or purified until it is our time to return to our eternal “home”. Whether that is back to the Earth, Ascension, or whatever aligns with one’s beliefs… I believe that we find “Home” in self and in love, and not necessarily reliant on our physical state.
I connect purgatory, in the sense of cleansing/purifying, to “Home” because I believe in and will always return the state of cleansing… learning… evolving… and growing… Earth is “Home” because I come from the Earth and will return to the Earth until my ascension takes me deeper into my eternal “home”… or rather state of being…
Purify me…
Unearth my soul…
Regenerate me…
Ground me…
As I Ascend,
